Having 4 young children getting out to church can be difficult. Finding a church that is fit for the entire family… even harder. The last church we found we thought was the perfect fit. Until we discovered the baby and I would be expected to sit in a dim, tan room with no AC the entire service, that just so happened to be the time my youngest would nurse down for a nap. Even with a cover nursing was not welcome in the sanctuary. When the van broke down we made the choice to stay home and enjoy the wonderful Sunday Service online broadcast offered by my husband’s foster-father up north in MI. This has worked amazingly well. We upgraded to ad free to fully enjoy the service. But one challenge persisted… the children needed more.
I for one do not feel I am qualified to provide an education in this topic. I was not raised in the kind of home where the bible even existed. Sure I have created some things for the children and worked verses in to everyday lessons but, we where lacking on the structured sunday school and I felt lost the moment we finished our hands on bible.
When we started with Mother Goose Time I was so excited to discover the Experience God Add-On Program. Experience God comes with weekly Sunday School projects/activities the children love and daily activities to dive deeper into understanding the bible. They do all of the work combining lessons to bring the children closer to God and relate Jesus’ teachings to everyday life.
Over the year Experience God covers 12 bible stories each going with a theme or lesson. This months theme is Honesty. Some ideas will be added to my Honesty Unit Study when I squeeze in some spare time to update it. Some of the themes have me so excited about.
If you are not looking to use Mother goose time whether you are using another curriculum or would like to uses Experience God with older children here is a quick video from made by Carol from A to Z Learning Adventures on How To Order Only The Add-ons.
