We could all use more energy. Or maybe that’s just me? I have been tired a lot since the loss and struck out to see what I had on hand to give me a boost of energy. As usual my first stop after the coffee pot was to dig through my oils. I had received a new set of citrus oils for Christmas to add to my collection.
Lemon essential oil for energy
Lemon essential oil has an uplifting scent that instantly brings on that feeling of a bright summer day. Interesting because they are in season during the winter. Never the less what is more refreshing than a tall glass of lemonade? a few drops of this can give you an energy boost. Lemon makes a great energy boosting addition to your toner.
Peppermint essential oil for energy
Peppermint essential oil is a stimulant that can wake you up. Mix with a drop or two of lemon and you have a great oil combination to give you the energy and focus for work. Peppermint makes a great facial scrub.
Orange essential oil for energy
Orange essential oil is another oil known for being great for energy. It gives you a boost and gets your day going. Like a glass of Orange juice in the morning Orange oil is just a great way to start out your day.
Why use these essential oils for energy?
These 3 are my favorite because they have so many uses that you can get the energy benefits on to of others at the same time. They make amazing body scrubs and lotions, and all three are powerful germ fighting cleaners. I love to mix just a drop or two of lemon and peppermint into a big bottle of water for a refresher to get me back up and going mid day.
Using these essential oils for homemade cleaners allows you to bet the benefits of essential oils for energy along with a burst of energy that comes form a light workout. Turn on some music and start spraying the house down with fabric refresher while you dance, mop the floors, or wipe off counters and get both benefits and a clean house at the same time. Now how is that for aromatherapy?
