Lemon and Herb Sea Salt Soak

Something about lemon that screens summer to me. Ironic because we lived in Florida and picked Lemons with our own hands. I even broke down and got my own lemon tree. Here’s a hint: they are not in season in the spring. After a long day this Lemon and Herb Sea Salt Soak is a great way to cleans and relax.

Lemon and Herb Sea Salt Soak

This one uses lemon essential oil and sea salt. Because of this I recommend not going out into the sun directly after using as it can make effect your skin. Think of how you use salt and lemon juice to get stains out of clothing you and in the sun.

Lemon and herb Sea Salt Soak

  • 1 cup course sea salt
  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
  • 10 drops lemon essential oil
  • 2 table spoons loose herbal tea (I used a blend from my favorite tea shop with peppermint in it for a cooling sensation)Lemon and Herb Sea Salt Soak

Start by mixing the essential oil into melted coconut oil. This will properly dilute the oil as it spreads through your bath.

Then mix in sea salt and herbs.

Shake well and store in an airtight container until you are ready.

This one reminds me of a glass of mint lemonade on the beach. Soaking in a bath with these is a great way to relax after a long hard day. You can switch it up with fruity loose leaf tea or even leave the herbs out for a lemon bath soak. Follow up with a soothing Lavender Lotion before bed.
