This time of year women all across the country are dressing after stepping onto a scale. Judging what they will wear, how they will feel about themselves for the rest of the day by the numbers displayed in that little window. Odds are if you seen this and clicked you are one of them. Stop. Don’t let those numbers define who you are or how you will feel about yourself.
I have PCOS I beat myself up over that number all the time. Between babies, I battle daily. Every bite I eat, every hour of time I fill is either helping me or hurting me. It feels like a losing battle, but I know I will win. I have lost a bit. I was feeling pretty darn good about myself. Until the inlaws were so kind as to point out my lack of fitness. I avoid them like the plague and well that’s one reason why. I beat myself up enough and I don’t need them to tell me I look pregnant. I don’t need bullies.
Are you letting your scale be your bully?
Do you step onto that scale and think about your flaws? Do you feel defeated? What if I told you that scale could become your friend if you had the right one? What if every time that scale moved up after a day of hard work you could see why it went up and how it may be a good thing?
The first step to not letting that one number define you and build your confidence is to step away from the old and try the new. A body fat scale is your NEW best friend. Every time you step on that scale you can see your weight AND what makes it up. A simple change can make a world of a difference.
Measure more than weight with your scale
Body fat, muscle, water, and even bone mass can be measured. Yes, the standard bathroom scale will not be 100% create but it will be enough to help you get an idea of the changes happening in your body. That bump of encouragement when you gained weight and discovered if was not fat.
