Last week we a friend found a dresser while driving down the road. Knowing that we where in search of one she called us right away. The first thing it needed was some scrubbing and chasing spiders away. After that it was time to think of a dresser make over. My oldest and I set our selves to this task on a lazy Saturday night as an easy Weekend Home improvement project to do together.
The dresser had already been painted white which was a huge time saver it just needs a fresh coat and a little spice.
The dresser pulls started out like THIS, Someone painted a thick uneven of white then moved on. For the DIY mom in me this was not a big deal. In-fact it turned into a fun (though messy) project to work on with my oldest. The best part? This whole little project was FREE using materials from around the house!
How to do a quick FREE dresser makeover
::First we removed all twelve dresser drawer pulls.
::Then we rummaged through the supplies in the house that fit our vision for the children’s room we are building. What did we find? 3/4 full gallon of white paint we are currently attacking the bedroom walls with. That is why we have beds in our living room in case you stop by this week. In with all of our random stuff we found NAIL POLISH!
::That is how this project progressed. We sat down painting a fresh white coat on each. The green was far to sheer to show up so we added a coat of silver followed by the line green allowing for plenty of drying time in between.
These are a perfect match to the Disney Metallic paint we are getting for the accent wall in “We come in peace.” This quick DIY Home Improvement project makes for a simple dresser makeover.
