It’s a new year and we have decided to stay with the Homeschool Review Crew. We are starting the year off with a bang by reviewing The Beginner’s Bible from Zonderkidz. I may have cheated and used this one as a Christmas present before we dug in to review it. A new Bible was really the perfect Christmas gift. What better way to start out the New Year?
The Beginner’s Bible is the perfect book of beginners bible stories for your young reader. This bible is not the full text of the Bible but a version brought down to meet the needs of young children and early readers. This book is filled with the best stories of the bible to help your child grow in faith this year.
Classic stories like David and Goliath, Moses and the Red Sea, and so much more. With each story, kids get the classic bible story in an easy to read and understand format. The text is large and clear with only a line or two per page. This makes it a great beginners bible. Each page is filled with new bright colorful 3D graphics.
I remember having a book similar to this as a little girl and spending hours deep in the stories. I think I drug it around until it fell apart. I hope that this book gets just as much love from my little ones this year.
Start the year out right
Do you buy yourself a new bible to start fresh? I personally write and highlight into my bible so I think a new fresh bible is a great way to start the new year. This bible is a great on for your children. The easy to read stories mean your younge reader can enjoy reading your bible in a year while your child does the same. Daily bible reading is a great habit to start young that will set your child up for a strong relationship with the Lord.
Will this bible be a fit for my child?
If your child loves bible stories and does well with full-color illustrated books the answer is yes. This makes a great bible for children that can not yet read nd ones that are just learning. Even older children can benefit from this bible. The bright pictures help keep your child focused on what they are reading and make it feel fun.
My ADHD children really benefit from the clean simple text and cheerful colored illustrations that help to keep wondering eyes on the page. The younger children find this to be the perfect way for them to enjoy bible stories and not wonder from the lesson. Which is a big deal because our last children’s bible despite having a fun hands-on component did not encourage young toddlers to stay and listen for long.
These classic children’s stories are just what you need to enjoy bible reading time with your child this yeah.
