How to make this easy soothing aloe face wash

Mix aloe and lavender essential oil to properly dilute the essential oil. I have been all about this Kashmir Lavender Essential Oil produced from lavender grown at the foothills of the Himalayas. The fragrance is almost intoxicating and the therapeutic properties are much higher than other lavender varieties.

Carefully add all ingredients into your 4 oz bottle. These can be found in the travel section at the local Wal-Mart or Dollar Tree.

Now, I typically use mild Castille when creating my face washes but I had almond on hand this time and decided to give it a try. The scent is amazing and I discovered that the almond oil in the soap is also great for soothing, softening, and balancing your skin so it will be my new homemade natural face cleanser base from here on out!

To use your amazing new aloe face wash:

  • You will want to shake this little bottle before each time you use it just to be sure it is well mixed and you get the benefit of all the ingredients.
  • Next apply a teaspoon or so to a pad, washcloth, or right in your hand and gently massage across your face in an upward motion.
  • Rinse well with water.
  • Pat gently dry.
  • Follow up with toner and a light moisturizer that is right for your skin type.
  • Why not try CBD face masks after this to further soothe your skin.

Other great ingredients to add to your homemade face wash.

Creating a homemade face wash can be a fun and cost-effective way to tailor a skincare routine to your specific needs. Here are some great ingredients you can consider adding to a homemade face wash:

Honey: Honey is a natural humectant that helps retain moisture in the skin. It also has antibacterial properties and can help soothe and calm irritated skin.

Jojoba Oil: Jojoba oil is similar to the natural oils produced by the skin, making it an excellent choice for balancing oil production. It’s non-comedogenic and suitable for various skin types.

Tea Tree Oil: Tea tree oil has antibacterial and antifungal properties, making it a good choice for acne-prone or oily skin. However, it should be used in small amounts and diluted properly.

Witch Hazel: Witch hazel is a natural astringent that can help tighten and tone the skin. It’s particularly useful for oily or acne-prone skin.

Green Tea: Brewed green tea is rich in antioxidants, which can help protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals. It’s also soothing and can be beneficial for sensitive skin.

Oatmeal: Ground oatmeal can be added to a face wash for its gentle exfoliating properties. It helps remove dead skin cells and can soothe irritated skin.

Lemon Juice: Lemon juice contains citric acid, which can help exfoliate the skin and brighten the complexion. However, it should be used in moderation and may not be suitable for sensitive skin.

Rose Water: Rose water is a natural toner that helps balance the skin’s pH levels. It can also provide a refreshing and hydrating boost.

Activated Charcoal: Activated charcoal can help draw out impurities from the skin, making it a good addition to a face wash for deep cleansing.

You need to check the ph of this. Adding water will decrease the ph of the liquid soap. If the ph falls below 10 a preservative is necessary. It can grow bacteria mold or yeast which is unsafe and could give you a serious staph infection. You can not tell by looking at something if it contaminated. Bacteria can’t be seen and if you do anything growing it has been growing before quite sometime before mold is seen.

The amount of this made at a time will not last long enough to grow bacteria.

Yes. My kids use this with no issues. Remember to keep it to small batches. This time of year storing in the refrigerator is a great way to preserve it longer and add a cooling effect to help sooth after sun exposure.

Would it help to put vit E oil in it to help preserve it? If the above comment is a concern?

Yes, vitamin e is a great preservative and great for the skin but not necessary as long as you are using the product rather quickly. A bottle this small will not last long. Ti lasts about a week in our large family to use after sun exposure so a month or so for a single person.
