Simple Space Sensory Bin

The big kids are learning about astronomy this year with Aplologia. With them working together I need something simple I can pull out for the little ones to enjoy so they stay out of trouble during lessons. Any mom that homeschools with toddlers around knows the feeling. This space sensory bin gets a lot of use. I just pop the lid over it and store it away. I add random things here and the keeping the base space themed noodles the same.

Easy Space Sensory Bin

On this particular day the girls were pretending the spiky balls where planets and the cookie cutter was the sun.  We had some bouncy balls in as well but I had to take them because they were getting bounced around distracting big kids lol. My son’s space-themed toys get added here and there.

Pasta base for space sensory bin

This space sensory bin can be changed into whatever you want.

I found this pasta and was jumping for joy. Astronauts, Space Ships, Planets! Oh my! These shaped pastas are my favorite base for sensory bins. Perfect for scooping and dumping. This space sensory bin is heading to become a space ispy bottle soon. I love that I can change this up as often as we want. Use whatever you have on hand and make your own space sensory bin.

You can find this pasta online (linked in the post) or at your local walmart from time to time.
