Invitation to Create: circle collage

This year we have found ourselves enjoying a new adventure with process art. These cute Invitations to create from Mother Goose Time have forced the kids to step our of their box. Each one gives them a new challenge, new materials, and a bit of inspiration. This Invitation to Create: Circle College gave the kids a chance to see what they could do by tracing different circle shaped items.

Invitation to create: circle collage, process art,

Why process art? Last year we did mostly art that had a purpose. An expected end. Clear step by step instructions. Yes, the kids learned but their creativity was limited. This year the new Invitations to Create focus on the process used helping your child gain new skills and the confidence to try something new.

Monkey loved adding different parts of the original to her art. Little man was trying so hard to find a use for the bouncy balls. He never did. Owl had so much fun racing everything she could, and baby bear found a paper plate was much more fun to color. All in all this Invitation to Create: Circle Collage was a hit. This year we look forward to doing a bunch of these. Nothing beats watching your children learn and grow.
