Homemade Gummy Snacks
Kids love gummy snacks. The natural ones made with real juice and no artificial dyes can really add up and if the box is sitting there they will poof when you’re not looking. These homemade gummy snacks are great because I can make them using juices packed with natural antibiotics and superfoods. You can really use any mold for these but this bunny set is perfect for easter and very reminiscent of Annies Homegrown Bunny Fruit Snacks
Most fruit snacks you can pick up for cheap are packed with tons of excess sugar, artificial dyes, and preservatives that you really don’t want to give to your children. In fact, major fruit snack brands have been sued for false advertising because fruit snacks packed with sugar is not any healthier than candy. Making your own homemade gummy snacks allows you to control what is in your child’s snacks. You can put any juices you want into your snacks. Even boost their immune system by using elderberry syrup as the base of your fruit snacks.
We opted for naked juices but we also love Blot House Farms. These juice blends are great because they combined a mix of fruits and vegetables while keeping the flavor light and fruity so your child actually wants to drink them and in this case eat them.

How to make your own homemade fruit snacks
In a medium saucepan, heat 1 cup juice over medium heat. Stir this well to avoid scorching the juice on the sides.
Stir in honey and gelatin.
Continue to stir as the mixture thickens and then thins to an even consistency.
Spoon approximately 1 tablespoon into each silicone well. Refrigerate 2 hours before removing from silicone mold and serving.
