A+ Interactive Math Review

When our last math program arrived my oldest was sorely disappointed. She wanted to learn multiplication. Well should could have told me. So that got passed on to little brother and we moved her on to the math topic of her interest. Shortly after we got a chance to review the new Math Mini-Courses from A+ Interactive Math. With her brother covered for math we picked multiplication and division because the two are great to work on at the same time.

We set her up and let her take off. She loves it and her brother and baby sister ended up watching her do the lessons. With the wide range of ages this program is a good fit for I know we will need it again in a couple of years. I love how much each one covers in just a few lessons. Elementary & Middle School Multiplication (2nd-6th) has 13 lessons. Elementary & Middle School Division (2nd-6th) has 15 lessons.

Each lesson involves interactive video and plenty of practice. The program tests your child and even reports to you in the teacher portal how your child is doing. There is no work for parents which is great when you are like me running multiple businesses and homeschooling multiple children.

If you find yourself wanting to pull the kids off-line for extra practice the mini courses come with everything in PDF format for reading the lessons and worksheet practice, even printable tests.

I love how the printable option contains step by step guides to solve the problems. It is great for division when things can get a bit harder and kids need extra practice using each step.

Personally I did not see why Monkey loved it so much. It seemed boring to my adult mind but she devoured lesson after lesson completely content to just keep “Playing.” I don’t know about you but the way I see it is when a child loves to learn and it feels like play I believe they are more likely to keep finding interest in learning.

Each mini course takes you from the introduction to the topic to full comprehensive knowledge on how to perform multi digit problems. There are no gaps and it can move as fast or as slow as the child needs giving them the freedom to learn.

I love how the mini courses each cover a comprehensive math topic and can be purchased individually meaning your child can express interest in a topic and you can get them the mini course on that topic. Or if you are struggling on a topic you can buy that course and not have to dig through a whole year program to find just the part you need. You get a full year access so your child can take their time.

All in all when we are finished we may buy the full program for the kids. The cost is low and it really makes everything easy for us as parents. When the children express interest in a topic we will stop by and see what they have to offer. The two levels of geometry sound good to me.
