January 31, 2023

Protein-packed smoothies are an easy and delicious way to boost your daily protein intake. Adding vanilla protein powder to a smoothie is a great way to give your drink a boost of flavor and nutrition.

whether you are trying to get your picky eater child to have more protein without a fight or looking to make a healthy post-workout snack you will love this simple and easy protein banana smoothie.

Why you will love this protein banana smoothie

You will love these smoothies because they are packed with a sweet flavor and do an amazing job of hiding the texture of even the worst protein powders. The combination of protein and banana is perfect for your post-workout snack.

I like to add some cream cheese sometimes to make it taste like a cheesecake for dessert.

What you need

  • 1 ripe banana, peeled and frozen
  • 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
  • 1 cup of milk or milk alternative
  • 1 teaspoon of honey (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon of peanut butter (optional)

How to make your protein banana smoothie

To prepare the banana, peel it and slice it into chunks. Place the banana chunks in a plastic bag or container and freeze them for at least 2 hours.

In a blender, add the frozen banana chunks, vanilla protein powder, milk or milk alternative, honey and peanut butter.

Start blending on low speed and gradually increase the speed to high. Blend until the ingredients are well combined and smooth.

If the smoothie is too thick, add more milk or milk alternative to adjust the consistency. If it’s too thin, add more frozen banana.

Serve the smoothie in a glass and garnish it with a sprinkle of vanilla protein powder on top or a drizzle of honey.

Tips and Tricks for the best banana smoothie

To ensure that your banana is ripe enough, look for a yellow skin with brown spots. The brown spots indicate that the banana is at its sweetest and most flavorful.

If you prefer a sweeter smoothie, you can add more honey or another
