Peppermint Bath Bombs
Christmas season is here and it is time to start thinking about gifts. These DIY peppermint bath bombs make a great gift for someone you love and they are so easy to make. This made a great bonding activity. Monkey helped me make these and we had so much fun. Though we probably cleaned up more off the floor than someone without a child helping would have too.
DIY Peppermint bath bombs.
Normally I would link to the mold we used but, in this case, I will just say… Don’t do it! Dozens of tries and only two came out whole. The upside I did learn you can crush these up add a few drops of water and start all over with the molding process. Stick with a mold that does not have odd bits sticking out. You will think me later.
What you need:
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup citric acid
- 1/2 cup Epsom salt
- 3 teaspoons melted coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon water
- 1 teaspoons peppermint extract
- Choice food coloring (optional)
- Cosmetic glitter (optional)
Mix ingredients together except for water. Slowly add in water to create a paste.
Press into molds and let dry overnight before removing.
Store in an airtight container or individually wrap to keep the fragrance.
