Apple Pie Dippers
I love everything apple. Just ask my kids how many uses I have found for our Apple Cider Syrup and we all love my Apple Pie Oatmeal. So, the kids were not surprised to find these Apple Pie Dippers waiting on them after dinner. Something and this about an old-fashioned American Apple Pie that screams summer.
This is a great treat to serve after school, at the dessert table for holiday dinners or as a snack at a kids party.
These apple pie Dippers are easy to make and the perfect snack for apple pie lovers. These are so easy to make you can put the kids to work.
How to make Apple Pie Dippers
- 1 pie crust
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon apple pie spice
- Two tablespoons melted butter
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Slice the pie crust into thin strips. Approximately 1/2 inch works well.
Brush on butter.
Mix sugar and Apple piece spice.
Sprinkle sugar and spice mix over the pie crust strips.
Place in oven and bake until golden brown. About 10 to 15 minutes.
How to make Apple Pie Dipper sauce.
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 teaspoon apple pie spice
- 2 teaspoons sugar
Mix well and set out with the finished Apple Pie Dippers fresh out of the oven.
This recipe is kid approved and would make a great treat to place in your child’s lunch. These are so much fun that I like to take them out on picnics and other activities we do. The dipping sauce travels well in a small food storage container.
These sure do look delicious and so easy to make too. A great after school snack.
