Orange Tangerine Scented Playdough Without Artifical Food Dyes
With children that suffer from behavioral issues due to ADHD we prefer to avoid artificial food dyes both in t he children’s food and in their play. We often use alternative options to dye playdough including paint, mica, and herbs. When Aldi made the announcement that everything in their stores was going dye free I cheered beacuse it Everything Aldi brand is safe for all of my children. When working on a fresh batch of playdough to keep the kids busy while I orchestrate a cross-country move and get the house ready for guests I looked at the water flavorings from Aldi on my self I realized the Orange Tangerine would make the perfect bright orange scented playdough.
The bright and cheerful color and fragrance of this playdough makes the perfect addition to the kid’s collection of homemade playdoughs that keep them busy. The sensory input that comes from squishing playdough is amazing for helping your children calm down. In this case, I feel the bright cheery orange and the sweet citrus scent is great for a morning wake up activity.

I don’t do fancy playdough with a milion steps. Nope, I don’t have time for that nonsense. Mix dry ingredients, add wet ingredients. Stir until a doughy consistency. For a deeper color and stronger fragrance and more water flavoring.
