Sweet Apple Bacon Pork Chops

I love fall. The flavors of apple, pumpkin, and plenty of spice mixed with cool fall air make me so happy. I love to pull out fall apple recipes like these Sweet Apple Pork Chops for my family.  I first made these down in Florida on a hot fall day. Oh how much more fun fall is up here in Michigan. These pork shops leave the house smelling like apples and bacon which we all know you can’t get much better than right?

Sweet and savory Pork Chop Recipe just begging for a crisp fall day

I am not a huge fan of pork chops. I do buy them from time to time when I find a good sale. If I cook pork chops they have to be packed with flavor as my mother turned me off from pork chops with her lack of spices, flavor, or creativity in the kitchen. This sweet and savory combination is great for fall like the sweet sausage sourkrout recipe my best friend created.

What you need:

How to make:

  1. Rub Maple over top of each pork chop.
  2. Lay apple slices on top of each pork chop in a thin layer.
  3. Wrap with bacon.
  4. Place pork chops on a baking dish and bake at 350 fr 25 minutes or until fully cooked inside.
  5. Heat a skillet and place each pork chop onto the hot skillet for about 1 minute on each side to give the bacon a great color and texture.

Serve sweet apple bacon pork chops with your favorite dinner side or make breakfast for dinner. A great addition would be pancakes topped in our Sweet Southern Peach Apple Butter.  Yummm…. Fall food is the best.

Fall is the perfect time to place with flavor. Give these fall dishes a try.
