    Pumpkin Pie Spice Sensory Play

    September 24, 2021 - By Emma May

Yesterday I shared a pumpkin craft and free printable.  Today I am sharing some pumpkin spice sensory play. Who doesn’t love Pumpkin Pie Spice? The Grasshopper And The Ant Unit Study

    August 14, 2019 - By Emma May

We love unit studies. Right now smaller the unit the better because I am still in survival mode. While the older kids can work fairly independently with their Fun-schooling Homeschool Journals the littles need a bit more guidance and attention or nothing will get done with them running wild. The Grasshopper and the Ant is truly a great story for kids to learn. After all, anything with the moral of hard work pays off is good right? Science Learn about and explore the parts of an ant for a fun lesson on insects. Get an ant farm so you can watch the ants…

Rainbow Preschool Printable Activities for Saint Patrick’s Day

    February 22, 2019 - By Emma May

Saint Patricks Day is Friday and Spring should be arriving soon. Though if you look out my window that is a bit questionable. The coating of white snow is thick and it is still coming down. The roads are slick. Nothing fun about it all. To try and get the kids back in the spring mood like they were when it was warm just a couple weeks ago. Saint Patricks Day Fun We have been working through some fun Saint Patricks Day activities you may like from rainbow fruit skewers, to a rainbow color sort for the littles. For the big…

    Homeschool Lessons in the Pool

    July 24, 2018 - By Emma May

Summer is in full swing and it is HOT. When summer hits education often takes a back step to just keeping cool and having fun. Only… It does not have to. You can teach your child while they play in the pool. Figuring out how to homeschool in the pool is half the fun. Make a game out of it with bath and pool toys. Find creative ways to make everyday schooling work at the pool. Teach fractions and measurements in the pool. Teaching basic fractions and measuring is easy in the pool. Just take measuring cups and buckets.  How…

    Pyramids and Hieroglyphics

    March 5, 2018 - By Emma May

Last month we managed to get some school time in with Mother Goose Time. Things where a bit crazy with guests in the house and we fell a bit behind so it was nice to sneak in a few normal days of learning. I let the children pick what day they wanted to do. The Great Pyramids are always a fascination for children. We used…
