Sensory play is of my top tools for homeschoolers and for ADHD treatment. The tactile stimulation of sensory play makes a world of a difference in the development of the whole child. Each morning the kids do an activity they can do without my help while I cook breakfast. Sensory play is a good option for it and Pumpkin Pie spice makes the house smell like fall. Like the orange juice sensory dough Pumpkin Pie Spice, sensory dough switches things up a bit. Make in bulk for your holiday get together's and watch the kids enjoy. Add leaves, acorns, and mini pumpkins for a great fall sensory bin. Add Turkeys, fake food, and family dolls for a fun thanksgiving bin. The possibilities are endless. :: 1 cup rice of choice :: 2-3 drops both red and yellow food dye :: 1/3 -1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice extract :: plastic ziplock bag :: baking sheet Mix pumpkin pie spice extract with food dye inside the zip lock bag. Add in the rice and seal the bag. Mix until all rice is a nice bright orange. Spread flat on a baking sheet and let dry overnight.
