Ham and Cheese Sliders w/ Hawaiian Rolls
Do you have leftover ham from Christmas dinner? Did you snag a ham on clearance after the holiday? These ham and cheese sliders are a great way to make use of them.
From serving for family dinner to game day eats for the next football game these ham and cheese sliders are perfect for any casual occasion.
Why these ham and cheese sliders are so great
These sliders are drowned in butter and packed with sweet and salty ham and gooey melted cheese.
These are easy to make and because they can be made using leftovers these are a great way to reduce food waste. For another great idea try using your leftover turkey to make these turkey and cheese sliders.
We used Hawaiian sweet rolls for these and the sweetness was the perfect pairing. You can of course in the spirit of reducing waste use any rolls or slider buns you have in the house already. You can even use biscuits and turn this into a breakfast dish. Try adding an egg to take that to a new level.

These are great with a side of steak house onion chips, onion rings, or your favorite french fries.
Fun ways to make these your own
These sliders are very basic but you can easily take them up a notch. Try drizzling the ham with a brown sugar ham glaze (be sure to cook it down a bit first) or opt to use some hickory bbq sauce.
Try stacking on some hash browns and a fried egg to turn these into a great hot breakfast you can serve to a crowned extremely easily.
Want to add some crunch? Try layering on some potato chips and skip the butter topping so they do not get soggy.
How to store leftover sliders
If you have any leftovers wrap them well to protect them from drying out. Simply reheat in the microwave and enjoy.
If you want to serve these in large quantities at a party instead of fully melting the butter just soften it and rub on top of the bread tops and leave these in the refrigerator until you are ready to cook and serve hot. Simple things like this are great for making game day easier and more fun for everyone.
